Plans are being made, floats are being designed, and we want you to join the fun! Thatcher’s Ace Hardware Holiday Parade of Lights, presented by La Grande Main Street Downtown is coming Friday November 29th.
The lineup will be at 5:30 and the parade should start at 6.
The theme this year is Hometown Holidays, and we will have 5 awards:
Ace’s Holiday Award – float that best represents the theme
Christmas Star Award – best business entry
Star Volunteers – best organization/group
Tin Soldier Award – Best marching/walking group
Best Motorized Sleigh Award – best motorized float
Santa will be riding on Thatcher’s Ace Hardware’s float and they will bring up the rear of the parade, which ends at Max Square where we have the tree lighting and a chance for kids to meet Santa.
Our only request is that there be NO OTHER SANTA’S in the parade so as not to confuse the kids.
We will be partnering with the Union County Chamber of Commerce as they host their holiday Sip n Shop which happens on the same day, making downtown La Grande the place to be on Friday November 29th.
We would love to you have your business/organization in this year’s parade. If you’d like to join the holiday festivities, please fill out the parade form below!
Mark your calendars now and start planning to join us for the Thatcher’s Ace Hardware Holiday Parade of Lights in downtown La Grande this Thanksgiving weekend, Friday November 29th.
